Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is when male breast tissue is enlarged on one or both sides.

This enlargement may be due to hormone changes, weight gain, genetics, liver disease, medication use, or recreational drugs such as steroids and marijuana.

In the procedure, Dr. Henderson will remove the excess fatty and breast tissue to return the breast to a natural state.

Good candidates for gynecomastia surgery include those who need excess breast tissue removed if steps to address hormonal status, medication use, and other causes of gynecomastia have been addressed.

Gynecomastia surgery can be performed with general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation.
