Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery is also known as reduction mammoplasty. In the procedure, your surgeon removes excess fat, skin, and glandular tissue to reduce the size of overly large breasts.

Good candidates for a breast reduction include those with overly large breasts that limit physical activity and cause pain the neck, back, and shoulders.

Good candidates also include those with indentations from bra straps due to the weight of the breasts or those with skin irritation beneath the breasts.

Breast reduction surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia.
